Live Lohri Celebration

Live Lohri Celebration – A Night of Joy, Culture & Community

This year’s Live Lohri Celebration at Gurdwara Sahib Geelong was nothing short of magical. With crackling bonfires, vibrant music, and heartwarming traditions, the evening brought our sangat together in a beautiful celebration of Punjabi culture and unity.

🎶 A Night to Remember

From the rhythmic beat of dhol to the joyful singing of folk songs, the atmosphere was filled with celebration and gratitude. Families gathered around the bonfire, tossing sesame seeds, popcorn, and gur (jaggery) into the flames as a traditional offering of thanks for prosperity and good harvest.

🌾 Embracing Our Traditions

Lohri holds deep cultural and spiritual meaning—it celebrates new beginnings, family bonds, and community strength. The live kirtan and ardas (prayer) reminded everyone that while traditions evolve, the values of togetherness and seva remain at the heart of everything we do.

🙏 Thank You to All Participants
